WHAT WAS I THINKING

Have you ever just got a wild hair and decide to do something.

Friday around noon I decide I want to have a yard sale. Normally no big deal but with me I choose to have it the next day.

I text the hubby and tell him what ad I want in the paper. I have him call it in because he gets a free ad a month in the local paper.

I forgot I had to go to a fondue party at my sis-in-laws Friday night. No big deal. I figure go there for a little while come home get things ready.

I was really enjoying the chocolate and cherries - then Ashley asks me - can you taste the Kahlua - I couldn't but hey it tasted pretty good. Needless to say I had lots of chocolate followed by a Pina colada. About 9:30 the hubby texts and says him and the kids are going to Cracker Barrel and for me to meet them. I agree.

By the time we eat and get the stuff out of storage, it is not 11:30 pm. I need to go to WalMart to get poster board to make signs. I get home about 12:30 am. I make the signs and the youngest helps me set up the tables. We stay outside until about 1 am. I tell him lets go to bed. I stay up until about 3 am and then get back up about 5 am to set everything up and get ready for the sale.

I remember now why I do not have any yard sales at my house - no one wants to venture to the "far" north side of Pueblo West.

I did sell at least a good size box of stuff - mainly clothes and toys. Yes toys just because the boys are teenagers doesn't mean I had gotten rid of everything yet.

No more yard sales at my house.
