Long needed update

It has been over a year since I updated my blog. Many things have changed and others have stayed the same.

Changes:
1. Ben bought a house in December 2009. We started making it ours this year with a face lift in the living room. We removed the carpet and installed hardwood flooring, painted and updated the trim. It looks so nice. We will be moving on to other rooms in the house as we can afford it.

2. I enrolled at UCCS and started taking classes. I decided it was time to go for my masters degree. Education is something that no one can ever take from you. It remains with you your whole life.

3. Buffy moved in with Ben and I a year ago January. It is so nice to have her around again. Love that macaw scream.

4. The boys continue to be more independent. I still do not see them as much as I would like but I have learned to accept it. I know I am blamed for the whole situation and I am OK with that.

What has stayed the same:
1. Ron and I rarely speak. We communicate through texts which are few and far between and primarily about the kids.

I continue to grow and become a stronger person. I take responsibility for my actions and shrug off things I have no control over.

I am thankful I had my children at a young age and that they are becoming responsible young adults.

My baby boy turns 19 in less than 90 days and will be graduating high school then too. The oldest is a sophomore at PCC. I am so proud of the boys. They have managed to survive the last few years.
